Freshly graduated from the École des Beaux Arts de Paris and inspired by the peace and love movement, André Gas founded his namesake jewelry label on the French Mediterranean coast in 1969. Moved by his travels to Africa and encouraged to express his own artistic vision, Gas was met with immediate success on the beaches and shops of Saint-Tropez.
