- In 2017, Nawal Laoui created the Parisian brand Persée. Laoui is inspired by her world tour, passion for contemporary art and thirst for creation. The story of Persée comes from her journey, the love of pure stones and the artworks of Picasso, Calder and Brancusi. We find a crossing of influences through her creations. There is a blend from Morocco, the land of her origins, and Greek mythology. The name of Persée originates from Perseus, the child of Danaë and Zeus. The gold rain from Zeus transformed into Danaë’s pregnancy that bore Perseus.
